Serve Your Community!

Want to lend a hand here in The Hague? Volunteer The Hague is a programme designed to help English-speaking residents find ways to connect with local organisations who can use their help. You can sign up online, explain your interests and skills, and they will provide a match. (Dutchies can check out Den Haag Doet.) They're also on Facebook and Twitter, where they regularly post new volunteer opportunities.

LUC Volunteer

At LUC, students take the initiative in making volunteer work visible and easily accessible to their peers. In 2013, LUC Volunteer (LUC-V) was established as a committee of Fortuna, the LUC student association. Since then, its dedicated board members have organised a series of easy-to-do, one-time volunteer opportunities (such as helping a family move from an emergency shelter to permanent housing, or playing bingo with members of an elderly community), usually clustered in Week 3 of each teaching block. In addition to organizing LUC Volunteer Week, LUC-V also helps individual students connect with longer-term volunteer opportunities that are ongoing in The Hague.

For the latest information about LUC-V, visit their Facebook page, or send an email to luc.volunteer@gmail.com.
